Kate & Michael Brown purchased this home in 2014 after discovering Madison by chance, when Kate’s sister and brother-in-law came here on the American Queen, and praised the town and its splendid architecture. This Federal style house, circa 1848, was saved from the wrecking ball by Jeanine Dean in the 1980s. There are floor to ceiling windows in the living and dining rooms, pocket doors in the living room and fireplaces in each of the 6 comfortable rooms. The Brown’s have renovated the kitchen and other than adding their own touches here and there, the house had not changed very much. They are delighted to show visitors this lovely historic home.
