The federal style duplex was built pre Civil War. The house was updated with Italianate features including a cornice and window and door trim. This beautiful home was originally set to be a duplex home, though at one point in history, the house was broken into five individual apartments. Bob Maile purchased the home and restored it back to its original duplex setting.
The current owner, Patricia Danda, purchased the South duplex in 2014. The entry point for the tour will be through the ‘Red’ side door that takes you directly into her current office. Bob Maile believed this same room was once used as a doctor’s office.
When touring the home, you will notice many Francis Costigan inspired accents, decorative collector’s items, and holiday décor from the owner’s world travels as well as a many local artist collection. Many Polish pieces will be found on display in representation of her heritage as well as beautiful artwork collected throughout her life.
This unmistakable ‘Pink’ duplex on East Street, is a must see!
