Vintage Lanes is located in an 1885 building in the heart of historic downtown Madison. After an extensive restoration, the property was reimagined as Vintage Lanes, opening in 2025 while preserving the character and architectural details that make the building special. Today, eight duckpin bowling lanes are joined by a wine bar, hidden cellar speakeasy, and Madison’s first and only rooftop bar. Rich, elegant design, warm lighting, music, and a touch of nostalgia create an atmosphere that feels intimate, lively, and unlike anything else in Madison.

RENOVATIONS & SPECIAL FEATURES:

• Restoration and refinishing of the building’s historic wood floors
• Preservation of the original historic staircase and other architectural details throughout the property
• Recreation of the look and character of a historic tin ceiling in the main bar
• Full build-out of the historic cellar, now home to Vintage Lanes’ hidden speakeasy
• Addition of eight duckpin bowling lanes across two floors while working within the existing historic structure
• Creation of the rooftop terrace and bar, adding a new gathering space while overlooking downtown Madison and the Ohio River
• Extensive work throughout the building to bring modern systems, functionality, and hospitality uses into the historic property while preserving its character
